Solfos is Nobel’s solar heater designed for large, simultaneous demand — hotels, facilities and large projects that need a central solar water-heating system at scale, not a single home unit. Aurora engineers the design around the facility’s consumption, installs it and supports it.

Approved specification

  • Galvanized cold-rolled steel tank, 2.5 mm thick, enamel-coated at 860°C per DIN 4753
  • Surrounding heat exchanger (jacket), 1.5 mm thick
  • High-density polyurethane insulation, 5 mm thick
  • Magnesium anode and a large flange for easy maintenance
  • Flat-plate solar collector with tempered low-iron glass, 3.2 mm thick
  • Selective-coating absorber, about 95% absorption rate
